STEEL GRIT

Steel Grit is an angular blast media ideal for aggressive cleaning applications. Steel Grit is designed for quick and effective removal of many types of surface contaminants from steel and other foundry metals. It is softer than other blast media and it is less likely to fracture. The angular nature of Steel Grit produces an etched surface on metal for superior adhesion of paint, epoxy, enamel, rubber and other coatings.
Typical applications include reparation of metal surfaces prior to subsequent coating, surface profiling. profiling prior to rubber bonding and lining, removal of sand from castings, descaling of bars and strips, etc. Industry users include blasting/painting contractors, container manufacturers, ship builders, pipeline manufacturers, plant maintenance and steel fabricators.
