Garnet is a naturally occurring silicate mineral deposit. reddish/pink in color and it is mainly used as an abrasive in abrasive blasting & water jet cutting and also as an adsorbent in water filtration. Garnet is one of the most effective, safe and versatile abrasive medias for abrasive blasting and have al hardness on the Mohs scale of 6.5 to 7.5.
As an Abrasive media, Garnet is highly efficient due to its low dust emission and where conditions allow, it can be recycled upto 5 times and used as an economical alternative to Aluminium Oxide, Steel Shot & Grit or any other expendable abrasives.
